KQED. The deadline is 7:00PM tonight!

KQED’s radio pledge drive started yesterday, and I’m writing to tell you it’s nearly over. Our two-day drive will end at 7pm tonight because, especially in times of crisis, the news is paramount.

We still need to raise the same amount of money, and we have very little time left. Cutting our pledge drive by more than 80% was both necessary and nerve-wracking. This crisis has already destroyed many sources of local journalism, most of which relied on advertising.

At KQED, when a listener like you donates, you keep us independent and fearless because you’re joining hundreds of thousands of your friends and neighbors. Combined, these donations supply nearly 60% of our budget – and helps offset the revenue lost from underwriting.

I SUPPORT INDEPENDENT JOURNALISM - Donate Now

This pandemic swooped into our world and changed our lives. All of us still feel a sense of disorientation, but finding the way forward with sure feet is easier when we’re sure of the facts. And that’s how we can help each other.

We are currently at 78% of our goal. If you are one of the many people who’ve already donated to help make this two-day drive successful, please accept our gratitude. If you haven’t yet made a gift – it’s not too late. We still need to raise the remaining funds needed to keep us on the air.

Thank you for reading this email, for considering making a donation (or a second one!) before 7pm tonight and most of all, for being part of the KQED family.
