Dear Valued Season Passholders and all Visitors,
Today Sunday, April 11 as scheduled, will be the final day of the Winter Operating Season.
Considering the quality of the current snowpack, we had hoped and planned for a continuation of the Season beyond our scheduled closing date. However, with the very recent rapid spread of more contagious coronavirus variants throughout the Lower Mainland, and the associated increased risk of transmission within both our employee workplace and our guest common areas, we have decided that the responsible thing to do is close operations for the season.
On reflection, we are completing a 150 day long season, our longest in a number of years, with some very good snow conditions throughout. There were many inconveniences, and we're sincerely grateful for everyone doing their share to cooperate with the restrictive protocols while still managing to enjoy their outdoor recreation experience at our facilities.
In particular, Cypress Mountain wishes thank and congratulate our Management Team and their staff of almost 1,000 strong, who throughout the season performed their duties while monitoring our protocols, and rose to every challenge thrown at them under very difficult circumstances.
We truly hope that with the responsible guidance of our Health Authorities, and the beneficial impacts of the vaccination program, that Cypress Mountain will return to normal operations next season.

In the coming weeks, we will begin the task of clearing snow in preparation for an early start on the construction of our new Mountain Coaster on Black Mountain.
