Cut & Paste

We are looking forward to our next show - Cut & Paste - featuring artists and makers doing brilliant things with paper and all its possibilities.

It will feature works by a select line up of artists including Rob Ryan and Sarah Gamble, who is already a favourite in the gallery.

Drawn to the worn and torn, it's the imperfections and irregularities that appeal to Sarah. She creates collages using disused vintage packaging, old board games, records, stationary, plastic tokens and mathematical instruments.

With a fascination for mid 20th century technology, typewriters, radios, cameras and record players are her primary sources of inspiration.

If you're 16 or over and an artist working in any medium, you're invited to submit work for the 2024 OPEN at Atelier Beside the Sea.

Last year we exhibited 250 artworks by 130 artists, and welcomed thousands of visitors to the gallery over the course of the summer!

Apply before midnight on the 30th May and you might see your work in excellent company on our gallery walls this summer.

Painting by numbers

The Atelier Art Club commences its painting module next Tuesday 21st May.

Join our experienced tutors for four guided sessions and brush up on your painting technique.

11th June - Bringing it together - Extended painting project

We are now proud stockists of absolutely delicious (and oh so stylish) Only Coco chocolate bars.

We are delighted to be working with this Sussex-based, small batch chocolatier, who curate the best recipes and designs for their confections.

They source only the best ingredients from around the world and work constantly to ensure their chocolate is supplied by producers who are passionate about supporting their local community, the environment and paying their workers fairly.

For a moment there, we thought the summer had arrived, but it seems we put our woolies away just a tad too soon.
