👋 Greetings I apologize for not sending a newsletter in a week but after I hit send on last Wednesday's Daily Travel Tip, my wife, kids and I rushed to LAX to fly to Connecticut. Actually, we flew nonstop from Los Angeles to Westchester, New York (just over the CT border) on Breeze Airways' relatively new nonstop flight. Here's my full trip report and here's a link to their latest sale, which includes $29 fares to Florida. If you're wondering why we pulled the kids out of school for a midweek trip, it's because my dad is in the hospital and is in really bad shape. It's been a while since I've seen him and I just wanted to give him a hug and tell him in person how much I love him at least one more time. I'm half-Italian so I grew up telling my parents that I loved them every day and because of that, I now tell my kids that I love them about a dozen times a day. After spending a couple of days with my dad, we then popped up to Toronto so our kids could spend 48 hours with Natalie's family before flying back to L.A. I was really nervous about having extremely bumpy flights (especially last week) as all the turbulence reports were showing some gnarly air but somehow, we got (really) lucky. We had smooth skies ... and that's all I can hope for, for my 94-year-old dad. |
