FIFE BUSINESS WEEK IS BACK – SUPPORTING FIFE BUSINESSES TO BE RESILIENT Fife Business Week returns this November for its 13th year. In one of the most challenging years economically, the week aims to give businesses as much support and advice as possible to remain resilient, sustain and secure opportunities. Around 30 events will take place face to face and online throughout the week from Monday 7th November through to Friday 11th November with a wide range of topics to choose from, delivered by experts in both the private and public sectors. |

Babcock Opens Applications For 250 New Jobs At Rosyth International Defence company Babcock, has opened applications for 250 new recruits for its Production Support Operative (PSO) programme at Rosyth. This is in addition to more than 40 PSO roles that were filled at the site earlier this year.
Recognising the challenges that returning to the workplace, or joining it for the first time, can bring, Babcock is working in partnership with an employability project developed by Kingdom Works and Fife Council to provide pre-employment guidance and support.

Short-Term Lets Now Require a Licence From 1st October 2022, all short-term let accommodation will need a licence, unless specifically excluded. This will ensure there is a mandatory set of standards that apply to all short-term lets across Scotland.

The Scottish Growth Scheme is a package of financial support of up to £500 million for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Scotland. Backed by the Scottish Government, it aims to help businesses grow.
This funding includes Business Loans Scotland, which is a consortium of Scottish local authorities. They provide loans ranging from £25,000 to £100,000 (and in exceptional circumstances up to £250,000) to eligible businesses on behalf of the Scottish Government. Click here to find out more |
