Fife Start-Up Grant

Fife Council’s Start-Up Grant can provide individuals who intend to start a business in Fife with up to £500 towards the costs involved in starting to trade. Eligible costs include things such as equipment, stock and certification.

Grants are offered at the discretion of a Business Gateway adviser, so businesses must be working with Business Gateway Fife to be considered.

Scottish Co-Investment Fund

The Scottish Co-investment Fund (SCF) is designed to address a finance gap alongside Scottish Enterprise's accredited co-investment partners.

You’ll need to secure funding from an accredited co-investment partner before applying for the fund. The partner will carry out diligence and bring the investment proposition to Scottish Enterprise detailing deal size, timing and deal structure.

Glenrothes-based Keela, has reported a 43 per cent increase in sales growth with staff numbers now totalling 65.  

It comes after a series of investments in technology, sustainable product research and development, and new manufacturing equipment, which “contributed to numerous retail client wins” as well as increasing sales through Keela’s website.

New Storytelling Play Centre Secures Venue In Anstruther

Anstruther based couple, Teresa and Andrew Fynn, are a step closer to opening their planned new children’s play centre in the town after securing the venue for it.

Inward investment success

A record number of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) projects were secured in Scotland last year, according to the latest EY Annual Attractiveness Survey.

The country outpaced both the UK and Europe for the second year in a row, maintaining its position as the top-performing area of the UK outside of London for the eighth year.

Inward investment projects grew by 3.3 per cent in 2022, compared to 1.4 per cent growth across Europe and a 6.4 per cent fall across the UK.
