The Women’s Business Centre is a website designed to share knowledge, practical tips and experiences to help women across Scotland bring their business ideas to life and flourish as a business owner. The site is free to access and provides dedicated, needs-based content for women setting up their own enterprise.

Fife’s Specialist Business Advice Programme Support

Fife’s Specialist Business Advice programme can provide SMEs in Fife that are looking to develop with up to three days of fully-funded consultancy support. Tailored, expert advice is available from specialists across a range of topics, from business strategy to sales and marketing and from financial planning to IT. 

The Specialist Business Advice programme is delivered by Business Gateway Fife on behalf of Fife Council. It is fully funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Ensuring Fife Businesses Are Fit For Defence

Fife Council's Economic Development Team has successfully completed its inaugural “Fit for Defence Programme”. This groundbreaking initiative has provided invaluable support to eight Fife-based businesses, enabling them to access and operate within the highly competitive defence industry. 

MRS Training and Rescue, Ductform HFE, Fyneside Developments, Eurospray, Keela International, Contract Solutions, Quality Precision Electronics and Foodmek all enrolled on the programme to help prepare their businesses to access and increase their market share within the sector.

Brand Designer Collaborates With Welcome To Fife And Local Tourism Associations

Mint Modern, a Fife-based brand design studio led by designer Nicola Stewart, has successfully partnered with Welcome to Fife and two of the local tourism associations (LTAs), Heartlands of Fife and Visit North Fife, to update their promotional materials.

The focus of this collaboration was to enhance the marketing leaflet that targets both local and international visitors. The leaflet provides information and a map showcasing the attractions and sites within the areas while also utilising QR codes throughout to link further information to relevant organisations.

Funding applications can focus on any aspect of Scotland's historic environment. To apply, you'll need to submit an initial expression of interest. A grants manager will then respond. 

If your expression of interest is approved, you'll be invited to submit a full application with more detailed information about the project.
