Register Now for Build Fife 2024

Fife Council in partnership with Hub East Central Scotland and Tier 1 contractors, have developed Build Fife, a programme to support local construction and associated businesses with aspirations for growth.

Build Fife runs weekly from 7th February 2024 to 27th March 2024 where you’ll learn from business experts, engage directly with Tier One Contractors as well as develop relationships with peers.

A Cracker Of A Business Opens In Dunfermline

Must Be Crackers, is a deli and larder that is bringing ‘great food, thoughtfully sourced’ to the city of Dunfermline.  

Owner, Aileen Wright, with the help of her family, transformed the old Dunfermline Sewing Machines store on the High Street into the luxury larder of their dreams and have worked hard to get the shop into shape for the opening.

Expert Help To Resolve Exporting Issues

If you are a Scottish company experiencing challenges with exporting, you could get direct guidance and support from an expert adviser at Scottish Enterprise or its international arm, Scottish Development International (SDI).

This service provides direct support by email or telephone. The adviser will work with your company to understand your exporting issue, offer guidance and suggest steps you can take to try and resolve the issue.

The Scottish Government has published guidance on its Fair Work First criteria to encourage and support employers to adopt fair work practices within their organisation.

The guidance does not set a minimum standard. Instead, it provides direction on how the Fair Work First criteria can be implemented by organisations of various types and sizes, in different sectors and locations.

Working Health Services Scotland

If your employee has a health condition that affects their work, they could benefit from Working Health Services Scotland (WHSS). This service provides free and confidential advice and health support for staff in companies with fewer than 250 employees, as well as self-employed people.

Employees can refer themselves to WHSS. Upon referral, WHSS will set up a telephone appointment for the employee with an assigned case manager. The case manager will discuss their circumstances and help them through the process.
