Construction Training Showcase 2024 Open day

Fife Council is hosting a Training Showcase 2024 at the Skills Development Centre in Kirkcaldy on Thursday April 25th, from 10am to 2pm.

The Skills Development Centre is an Approved Training Centre for the delivery of National and International Qualifications for IPAF, PASMA, The Ladder Association and BAF, which are all delivered locally within Fife, and we are proud to be a member of each of these organisations.

The Training Centre has recently been modernised and adapted to suit the training and assessment requirements of these qualifications.

Dive In Tae Digital With A Digital Marketing Intern

Dive In Tae Digital is a Fife Council funded digital marketing training programme from Scunnered Digital. Local unemployed people and students are upskilled over eight weeks before being matched with a local Dunfermline business for a four week internship.

Not only will businesses get hands-on in-house support in all things digital, they’ll finish the programme with digital strategies, bespoke research, content templates and more so they can continue the great work.

New Life For Abbotshall Hotel

One of the best-known figures in Kirkcaldy’s hospitality industry has returned to where it all started with his new venture. Dennis O’Connell has reopened the Abbotshall bar and restaurant, which he previously ran when it was known as The Abbey.

The former hotel on Milton Road has been given a substantial refurbishment, complete with a coffee shop, bar and restaurant.

Fife Chamber Golf Day

The popular annual Golf Day is a highlight of the Chamber calendar, with 18 teams of four competing for the much sought after team trophy and individual prizes.
 
Teams play a Texas Scramble format on the finest courses in Fife, and the 2024 venue is Fife’s premier parkland course, surrounded with rolling woodlands of Pitfirrane Castle at Dunfermline Golf Club, situated in the charming village of Crossford. The hole in one and the fun longest marshmallow drive challenge is back to raise funds for local charities.
