Income Tax Changes From Saturday, 6th April 2024, a new Advanced income tax band in Scotland will apply a 45 per cent rate on annual income between £75,000 and £125,140. An additional one penny will be added to the Top rate of tax, meaning income over £125,140 will be taxed at 48 per cent.
The starter, Basic, Intermediate, and Higher tax rates for earnings under £75,000 have not changed. The Starter and Basic rate bands will increase in line with inflation, and the Higher rate threshold will be maintained at £43,662. |

Climate Engagement Fund reopens Organisations across Scotland, including community, cultural and education groups, will be able to bid for support from a fund aimed at engaging people in tackling the climate emergency.
The £250,000 Climate Engagement Fund will support activities such as climate festivals, skills workshops, art exhibitions and youth development programmes – all aimed at increasing people’s understanding of climate change and encouraging climate action.

Veterinary Ophthalmology Is Eye Right Julia Henken has come a long way since qualifying as a veterinary surgeon in 2011. She has now launched her fully independent Eye Right Referrals service for small animal eye care after becoming an advanced practitioner in Veterinary Ophthalmology and working exclusively as an ophthalmologist for the last six years.
Based in Dalgety Bay, Julia works out of six clinics across Fife and beyond, as she is one of the very few specialists within Scotland.

New Property Flood Resilience Grant To Protect Communities Against Flooding Fife Council’s Cabinet Committee has launched a new Property Flood Resilience grant scheme, which will open for applications on Wednesday 24th April 2024.
