DCCA Wholesale Crafting A Creative Business

Deborah Cameron is a creative artist from Auchtermuchty in Fife, In 2017, she launched her business from a studio at home where she designed and made ceramic goods for the wholesale gift and tourism markets. 

Business Gateway Fife has been working with Deborah since 2019, when she went through a period of rapid business growth, shortly after which, COVID meant she had to make allowances for all the tourist shops being closed, where she had 90 stockists across Scotland.

Community Climate Grants for Fife Community Groups

Fife-based community groups are once again invited to apply for up to £1,000 to help act on the climate emergency.

Community Climate Grants are a collaboration between Climate Action Fife and Fife Climate Hub. The grants are made up of two distinct funds: The Seed and Development Fund and the Small Grants Fund. Groups can apply for one or even both funds. Launched in December 2023 the scheme is now in its second year.

Live and Local - Community Radio Station Appeals For Volunteers

Kirkcaldy's community radio station, K107fm, is on the lookout for people to join their growing team of volunteers and members.

Whether you want to be behind the microphone presenting to the Kirkcaldy area or behind the scenes helping the radio station run smoothly, there is something for everyone.

Roles include presenters, technical support, supporting community events, and spreading the word by helping with their social media pages, including a Facebook page with over 10,000 followers.

East Neuk Boat Building And Restoration Project Wins Lottery Funding

The Cellardyke Trust has been awarded £84,856 by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Development Funding, for its special project The Manx Beauty – Cellardyke and Beyond. 

This will enable the Trust to develop plans for its community project which is designed it to enthuse young people in heritage skills and provide training for an apprentice, school pupils and a range of individuals through the rebuilding of the 1937 herring fishing vessel, the Manx Beauty. The wider project includes environmental work and exciting intergenerational heritage outreach.

Levenmouth Businesses Urged to Complete Survey Regarding Out of School Childcare Provision

Fife Council's Childcare Services Team are currently looking at the demand for out-of-school childcare provision across the Levenmouth area, and engagement with families via schools, nurseries and through supporting agencies has already taken place.
 
However, the team also want to know the impact that out-of-school childcare provision may be having on businesses across the Levenmouth area and has designed a very short three to four question survey specifically for local employers.
