This Scottish Enterprise fund helps companies in Scotland increase the impact of capital investment in their business and see its effects more quickly. It supports activities that improve workplace practices, skills and leadership capabilities in order to get the most from the investment.

The funding must be used for activities that support an existing or planned capital investment project by increasing its impact or likelihood of success and helping create positive change within your workplace.

Research and Development Grants

Research and development (R&D) grants from Scottish Enterprise are designed to help innovative projects that will improve business competitiveness, encourage further R&D activity and benefit the Scottish economy. 

The grants are for companies that are looking to develop a new and innovative product, process or service – or significantly improve an existing one – in Scotland.

SMEs that are working independently on innovative projects may receive a grant to cover between 35 per cent and 50 per cent of their eligible project costs.

Robertson Trust Transport Grants

The Robertson Trust's Transport Grants offer increased funding for charities of between £5,000 and £20,000 per year for one to three years.

By supporting the costs of a vehicle or transport costs more broadly, the fund aims to help charities deliver their services and remove barriers for people and places affected by poverty and trauma. This is in recognition that a lack of access to affordable, reliable transport can impact the ability to participate in society and thrive.
