In anticipation of CBC Arts’ The Filmmakers which premieres this weekend, CBC has compiled a list of ‘Canada’s most exciting up-and-coming women in the industry.’

Jordan Canning (NSI Drama Prize), Ashley McKenzie (pictured, NSI Drama Prize) and Amanda Strong (NSI IndigiDocs) are included in their list.

Jordan’s film Suck It Up, Ashley’s film Werewolf and Amanda’s film Flood are all recognized as part of these artists’ growing bodies of work and their critical acclaim.
