SynthesizeSynthesize | Experimental, 16:17, English, Ukrainian, ON, 2018 | Director: Matthew Edison Synthesize is a fictional story about a Ukrainian musician who travels to Canada to meet the one repairman she believes can resurrect her beloved father’s synthesizer, a Polivoks. This film is written for and created by synth lovers, featuring Jay Lemak (Toronto’s top synth repairman) and a soundtrack made with 98% analog synthesizers. Sweet AfflictionSweet Affliction | Comedy, 7:28, English, QC, 2017 | Director: Jess Lee Awkward and disheartened, 18-year-old Stacey grapples with romantic feelings for her older sister Angela. Based on the short story Gravity by Anna Leventhal from her 2014 collection Sweet Affliction. • • • Call for films / submit by December 7We’re accepting films through FilmFreeway until Friday, December 7, 2018.
