A Blessing from the Sea AKA A Small Fortune

Still from Adam and Jason’s proof-of-concept short film A Blessing from the Sea

NSI Features First-developed project A Small Fortune from writer Adam Perry and producer Jason Arsenault has been greenlit for production.

The film is a co-production with Newfoundland’s Rink Rat Productions which previously produced Maudie, starring Ethan Hawke and Sally Hawkins, in 2016.

Production will take place in Prince Edward Island.

The film follows two Irish moss harvesters who discover a boat full of money. Their decision to keep it leads them down a dark and violent path.

Previously, Adam’s screenplay for A Small Fortune made the semifinals of the Atlanta Film Festival 2018 Screenplay Competition.
