Winnipeg’s Build Films seeking Indigenous animators for contract positions Posted: 17 May 2019 11:51 AM PDT Are you a First Nations, Inuit or Métis animator? Emerging or established? Do you want to take part in a national-scale project on Indigenous health? Winnipeg’s Build Films is looking to collaborate with Indigenous animators and illustrators on a five-part animated series about the Indigenous experience in healthcare in Canada. Each film in the series focuses on a different stage of life, from birth to death, and is told through first-person accounts from five different people. Build is looking for talented, creative people who have a distinct style and want to bring these stories to life. Successful applicants will be required to create detailed, storyboarded concepts and deliver on the original artwork and video files. Animators will need to create the characters and environments of each of the stories in 2D visuals that seamlessly flow between a video intro and outro. The final product will be distributed online and through traditional media. Find out more about the project and apply by May 24, 2019.
