Into Invisible Light from director Shelagh Carter wins best film at Belgium’s Fusion Film Festival Posted: 03 Sep 2019 10:42 AM PDT Feature film Into Invisible Light, co-written and directed by Shelagh Carter (NSI Drama Prize), took home the award for best film at Belgium’s Fusion Film Festival last week in Brussels. Performers Kari Matchett and Peter Keleghan also won best supporting actress and best lead actor, respectively, for their work in the film. In Into Invisible Light, confronted by an odd directive from her late husband’s estate, Helena Grayson is inspired to reawaken a long-buried desire to write. When she’s unexpectedly drawn into an encounter with an old flame she is further challenged to explore her creative voice. The film is a story of forgiveness, second chances and the revitalizing power of art.
