Posted: 27 May 2020 04:17 PM PDT This Friday, May 29 at 1 p.m. ET, the Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA) will host a webinar for small production companies and sole proprietors, to answer questions and help business owners navigate the many issues that have emerged as a result of COVID-19. The current crisis has created new and unprecedented challenges, which can be very difficult to manage without in-house financial, legal or business affairs departments. Friday’s webinar is an opportunity for participants to ask questions and seek advice on everything from navigating government support programs, to addressing financing challenges, to managing operations during the downturn. The CMPA’s Andrew Addison and Coral Aiken of Aiken Heart Films will co-moderate a discussion with a panel of experts with deep production finance, business affairs, and operational management experience. Access is open to all those who register ahead of time. The webinar will be held via Zoom on a secure channel. Prior registration is required. Confirm your attendance. A significant portion of the webinar will be dedicated to taking questions from participants, live during the session.
