Celebrate Trickster finale at online watch party with the cast Posted: 10 Nov 2020 11:46 AM PST Trickster and BIPOC TV and Film have teamed up to host a watch party in celebration of the Trickster finale. Trickster, directed and co-created by Michelle Latimer (NSI Drama Prize), will close out its first season on November 11 at 9 p.m. ET on CBC Gem. After the episode, Michelle and the cast will host a post-screening Zoom Q&A session. The event is open to BIPOC and BIPOC allies. Tickets are free and registration is open now! Apply for the STORYHIVE Podcast Edition Posted: 10 Nov 2020 11:43 AM PST Applications are now open for STORYHIVE’s first Podcast Edition. STORYHIVE is seeking locally reflective, non-fiction podcast pitches from creators in Alberta and British Columbia. This edition will award production grants of $10K to 10 successful applicants, along with distribution on select TELUS platforms. Each podcast must meet these submission guidelines to be eligible, including: Finished podcast projects will include at least three episodes, each 15 minutes in length Eligible podcast formats include interview style with a solo host or co-hosts, episodic documentary (anthology) and serial documentary podcasts Every podcast must be accompanied by a simple video component Projects will be selected by a jurySTORYHIVE has taken the necessary COVID-19 precautions to ensure the safety of every applicant. Due to the current pandemic, all projects are required to limit their crew to a maximum of three people. In honour of this new edition, STORYHIVE will be hosting an Ask Me Anything Zoom webinar to guide potential applicants through this new process. The webinar, hosted by Team STORYHIVE, will take place on November 13, 11 a.m. PT. This is your chance to give a voice to your community, and receive the necessary support and funding needed to launch your podcast. Applications close at 5 p.m. PT on Wednesday, December 2, 2020.
