Applications are now open for a new online pilot program: NSI Market-Ready Producers – PEI Edition created in partnership with Creative PEI and Film PEI.

Five PEI producers will be selected to participate in this five-week, part-time online training program where they’ll develop essential producing skills and prepare a pitch package for a project they are currently developing.

The program includes pitch consultations, project workshopping and mentorship from national industry professionals. Upon completion of the course, each participant will qualify for the Pitch for Your Life competition at the 2021 PEI Screenwriters Bootcamp where one pitch will win $15K towards a proof of concept.

This training is for you if you meet all of the following criteria:

• You’re a PEI screen content creator committed to developing a career in producing
• You have demonstrated experience in production, business affairs, legal, marketing, distribution or development
• You possess the rights to a scripted project currently in development
• You can commit the necessary time to attend the training sessions and complete the assignments
• You want to gain practical pitching and producing experience while building your professional network

The online program runs from May 3 to June 4. The application deadline is Friday, March 26. Read more about the course and how to apply.
