Carved in Stone: Sanannguaqtit ᓴᓇᓐᖑᐊᖅᑎᑦ follows Inuit artists, such as Goota and Joe Ashoona, George Arlook and visual artist Kailey Sheppard, who have dedicated their lives to sharing their stories through culture and art. The documentary offers a unique perspective on how these Inuit artists make and promote their work in locations ranging from the arctic to urban centres to rural homesteads, while connecting their art to their lived experience. Many of the artists featured are also represented in the new home for Inuit art in Canada, Qaumajuq at the Winnipeg Art Gallery.
