On November 6 there’s a case study of Tasha’s film Birth of a Family about four siblings who, after being separated at birth during the Sixties Scoop, come together as a family for the very first time. Tasha will screen clips from the film, which is currently in post-production, and lead a discussion on her approach to telling this story and her close collaboration with the members of this reunited family. There will also be a Q&A after the discussion. Gimme Some Truth is also featuring a retrospective of Trevor’s short films, including The Little Deputy, The High Level Bridge, The Island and more. They screen on November 4 with an introduction and Q&A by Trevor. |
