Shoot the Messenger, a new TV series from Jennifer Holness (NSI Drama Prize, Telefilm – Canada Spark Plug Program) and Sudz Sutherland (NSI Totally Television) of Hungry Eyes Film & Television, premieres on CBC on October 10.

In Shoot the Messenger, things go sideways for young reporter Daisy when she witnesses a murder she thinks is gang-related, only to find herself slowly drawn into an interconnected web of criminal and illicit sexual activity that reaches into the corridors of corporate and political power.

Watch the series premiere on CBC on October 10 at 9 p.m. (Check your local listings.)

Nuit Blanche Winnipeg is a free, all-night exploration and celebration of contemporary art that takes place on October 1 from dusk to dawn. Held annually since 2010, the events and exhibits attract thousands of people to the three zones of activity in the city: St. Boniface, Downtown and the Exchange District.
