CBC Short Docs seeks pitches from emerging Indigenous storytellers Posted: 30 Jun 2016 09:39 AM PDT CBC is on the lookout for emerging Indigenous storytellers to submit pitches to CBC Short Docs. They’re looking for character-driven, narrative docs less than 30 minutes in length. Interested filmmakers are invited to apply online, with the active evaluation process continuing through September 30, 2016. The selected short docs will be distributed across CBC’s multiple digital platforms throughout 2017. As part of this initiative, CBC Docs: Short Docs has teamed up with CBC Radio Original Podcasts to co-commission a select number of these Indigenous creators to bring their stories to life as both short docs and as original podcasts. Thunder Blanket by current NSI Aborginal Documentary student Roxann Whitebean was recently programmed on CBC Short Docs. |
