Lisa Meeches to receive Order of Manitoba Posted: 12 May 2017 11:57 AM PDT Big congratulations to NSI Indigenous training programs advisor Lisa Meeches who is in line to receive the Order of Manitoba this summer. Announced today, Lisa is one of 12 new inductees to receive the honour. They will be honoured July 13 in a special ceremony that recognizes the 150th anniversary of confederation. Lisa was also recently profiled in Chatelaine magazine as part of their Ms. Chatelaine series. Lisa spoke about how she got into the film and TV industry, her documentary series Taken and building connections and awareness in her community. Lisa is a TV and film producer at Eagle Vision whose commitment to her craft and community has been guided by her Indigenous culture and spirituality. She has served on several local and national and community industry boards and has also been a driving force behind the success of the annual Manito Ahbee Festival.
