Michelle Latimer (NSI Drama Prize) is profiled in Playback as part of their Indigenous Voices Rising series. Eagle Vision and Rezolution Pictures have also been featured.

Michelle talked about her most high-profile project to date, Viceland series Rise, and upcoming films The Inconvenient Indian and Forgotten: The Freedom Project.

As she told Playback: “Opportunities are just starting to open up for our community to be able to tell our own stories from the inside out.

“I think that [the success of projects like Rise] shows there is an appetite that is wider, that it’s not niche, that a good story is a good story and to be able to tell stories from our point of view, on our terms, is really important.”
