Nikita Day, Petie Chalifoux accepted to WIFT Vancouver feature development program Posted: 19 Oct 2017 11:59 AM PDT Women in Film and Television – Vancouver has announced the participants (PDF) for their new feature film writing development program for Indigenous women, Coyote, Raven, Spider, Wendigo: Tricksters and Writers. Nikita Day (CBC New Indigenous Voices) and Petie Chalifoux (NSI IndigiDocs) are among the list of 15 emerging screenwriters. Screenwriter and producer Peggy Thompson (DramaLab) serves as a faculty member for the program. The initial phase of the program takes place over 12 weeks, beginning on October 25, and includes master classes and group sessions. Selected projects from this phase will receive further development including professional story editor consultations and directed actor table reads.
