Stills from NDNs on the Airwaves and Indian in the Child
NSI IndigiDocs films from 2013 to 2016 will air on APTN this month in the lead up to the premiere of the programs’ newest documentaries from 2019 and 2020 in January.
NSI IndigiDocs has helped develop the skills of over 60 Indigenous storytellers over it’s eight editions. Many documentaries have screened at acclaimed festivals like imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival, Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
Many of these talented filmmakers have gone on to win prestigious awards, such as the Betty Youson Award for Best Canadian Short Documentary (Hot Docs), Audience Choice Short Film and Manitoba’s Best Short Film (Reel Pride Film Festival) and been named to the TIFF Top 10 shorts list of 2020.
Tune into APTN throughout December and January to see these award-winning films. Check your local listings.
