Meet Pierce Milliere, our new RBC Indigenous Peoples Development Program associate

By Communications on Feb 16, 2023 12:22 pm

I’m Pierce Milliere, and I’m thrilled to be part of the National Screen Institute’s team for the next four months.

I am joining the National Screen Institute as part of the RBC Indigenous Peoples Development Program (IPDP) as a recent graduate of Queen’s University, where I studied politics, philosophy and economics. IPDP is a two-year rotational program at RBC designed for recent Indigenous graduates.

My business line at RBC, in which I will complete my rotations, is Capital Markets. I’ve had a passion for finance since my early days in high school when my dad bought me a book titled The Teenage Investor. From that moment, I was hooked and knew that one day I wanted to explore a career in finance. I started tracking markets and investing on my own and eventually competed in investing competitions at Queen’s. I was thrilled to take first place in the Queen’s Commerce Trading Competition.

Aside from finance, I enjoy travelling and dream of doing an RV trip across the United States to see sights such as Yosemite and the Grand Canyon. Additionally, I am an avid film and TV show enthusiast. There is nothing quite like going to the movie theatre and indulging in theatre popcorn.

During my time at the National Screen Institute, I am eager to contribute my skills and knowledge to the organization while also learning and growing professionally in a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
