This fall, the Black Screen Office (BSO) hits the road for a national tour, bringing together Black producers and creatives from across Canada.

Through a series of intimate roundtables, coinciding with the 2024 fall festivals, the BSO wants to hear from you, share insights and discuss how we can work together to amplify Black voices in the Canadian screen industry.

The tour stops in Winnipeg on Wednesday, October 9.

What to expect

  • Delve into the unique challenges and opportunities of working in your region. Your input is crucial as the BSO explores ways to strengthen regional collaboration and ensure their programs meet your needs.
  • Learn about upcoming BSO initiatives, including travel and accommodation support for select programs, and how you can get involved.
  • Be the first to hear about the soon-to-be-launched Black Screen Office Fund, designed to support Black Canadian creators in bringing their stories to life.
  • Connect with peers over light refreshments as we build a stronger, more connected Black creative community across Canada.

Why attend?

This tour is your opportunity to shape the future of the Black Screen Office and ensure your voice is heard in their national strategy. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or an emerging talent, your perspective is invaluable.

Don’t miss out on this chance to influence the direction of BSO’s programs and policies. Spaces are limited, so please RSVP early to secure your spot at the Winnipeg roundtable.
