A special message on Giving Tuesday

By Joy Loewen on Nov 29, 2022 12:26 pm

Today we’re celebrating Giving Tuesday – a time for us to recognize National Screen Institute participants and alumni who share their truth through storytelling.

This year, we’re sharing a truth of our own which guides the work we do every day:

If you want to change what you see on screen, you need to change who’s behind the scenes.

How can we achieve this? It starts with you.

At the National Screen Institute, we see first-hand how a more inclusive industry is closer than ever before – with 81% of our alumni from underrepresented communities. Together, we can inspire the next generation of participants to see a future for themselves in this industry, be it on screen or behind the scenes.

Throughout December, we will be sharing more reasons to believe that our goal is within reach. Join us and support the storytellers who are making this goal a reality.

Your donation to the National Screen Institute will:

Empower future participants as they work to change what we see on screen. Donate now through our Endowment Fund, held by The Winnipeg Foundation.

OR

Help fund current participants and the daily work our organization does to change the world through the power of story. Donate now through our CanadaHelps portalTODAY ONLY: Donate through CanadaHelps and they will automatically add an additional 1% top-up to the donation.

Thank you for your continued support.
