QUOTE OF THE DAY
Howard W. Hunter

"Easter is the celebration of the free gift of immortality given to all men, restoring life and healing all wounds. Though all will die as part of the eternal plan of growth and development, nevertheless we can all find comfort in the Psalmist's statement, 'Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning'" (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Howard W. Hunter, p. 108).

TODAY IN CHURCH HISTORY
April 19

1775 - Battle of Lexington and Concord in Massachusetts places the American Colonies on the path that leads to the Revolutionary War for American Independence. During the previous night, Paul Revere made his famous ride to warn the colonists the Red Coats were coming.  The first shots were fired on the Lexington Village Green just after dawn and became known as the "shot heard round the world."  An independent American nation provided a fertile ground for restoration of the gospel and the birth of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1830.

QUESTION OF THE DAY
