The Restored Gospel
SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
Alma 36:24-25

"Yea, and from that time even until now, I have labored without ceasing, that I might bring souls unto repentance; that I might bring them to taste of the exceeding joy of which I did taste; that they might also be born of God, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. Yea, and now behold, O my son, the Lord doth give me exceedingly great joy in the fruit of my labors."

Howard W. Hunter
QUOTE OF THE DAY
Howard W. Hunter

"The gospel of Jesus Christ, which gospel we teach and the ordinances of which we perform, is a global faith with an all-embracing message. It is neither confined nor partial nor subject to history or fashion. Its essence is universally and eternally true. Its message is for all the world, restored in these latter days to meet the fundamental needs of every nation, kindred, tongue, and people on the earth. It has been established again as it was in the beginning---to build brotherhood, to preserve truth, and to save souls" (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Howard W. Hunter, p. 123).

LIBRARY: Brother Joseph 1:  Chapter Twenty-Two: Joseph Receives a Magnificent Vision of the Glories of Heaven

Since their youth they had been taught of a resurrection of the righteous, but the concept of the resurrection of the wicked was something that was entirely new. As a result they decided to ask the Lord for more enlightenment concerning the resurrection, and the meaning of these two verses.
