SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
Psalm 119:2-7

"Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways. Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently. O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes! Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments. I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments."

QUOTE OF THE DAY
Heber J. Grant

"I have a knowledge of these things, and I know them as well as I know that I love my family and my friends. This knowledge has come to me in such a way that I am ready and willing to bear testimony to all the world, and I know that I will have to face the testimony that I bear. I would not be true to myself if I did not, when occasion offered, bear testimony of the things that I do know" (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Heber J. Grant, p. 65).

TODAY IN CHURCH HISTORY

1907 - After a five year battle, the U.S. Senate votes to allow Elder Reed Smoot, a member of the Quorum of Twelve Apostles and elected Senator from Utah, to retain his seat in the Senate.  The fight to allow him to sit as a Senator had resulted from easily disproved accusations of practicing plural marriage.
