Sabbath Day
SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
Doctrine & Covenants 59: 9-10

"And that thou mayest more fully keep thyself unspotted from the world, thou shalt go to the house of prayer and offer up thy sacraments upon my holy day; for verily this is a day appointed unto you to rest from your labors, and to pay thy devotions unto the Most High."

Spencer W. Kimball
QUOTE OF THE DAY
Spencer W. Kimball

"The Sabbath is a holy day in which to do worthy and holy things. Abstinence from work and recreation is important, but insufficient. The Sabbath calls for constructive thoughts and acts, and if one merely lounges about doing nothing on the Sabbath, he is breaking it" (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Spencer W. Kimball, p. 170).

LDS QUOTE MEMES

This quote is from the President Thomas S. Monson on the importance of reaching the one.

Martin Van Ginkel and Carl Brouwer were both sixteen years old.  With a lot of apprehension, they arrived at our flat at 9:30 am.  Both were in white shirts and ties, and other than their hair being a tad long, looked every bit a missionary.

In various ways the Lord was attracting to the Church a variety of distinguished spiritual personalities who would become mighty leaders in this new dispensation.
