SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
Alma36:3

"And now, O my son Helaman, behold, thou art in thy youth, and therefore, I beseech of thee that thou wilt hear my words and learn of me; for I do know that whosoever shall put their trust in God shall be supported in their trials, and their troubles, and their afflictions, and shall be lifted up at the last day."

QUOTE OF THE DAY
Howard W. Hunter

"When [the difficulties of mortality] humble us and refine us and teach us and bless us, they can be powerful instruments in the hands of God to make us better people, to make us more grateful, more loving, and more considerate of other people in their own times of difficulty" (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Howard W. Hunter, p. 64).

LDS QUOTE MEMES

This quote is from President Dieter F. Uchtdorf on Believing.

On Sunday, January 2, 1831, the Church held its last conference in the state of New York at the Whitmer home in Fayette. This was the third conference of the Church. This was the beginning of a new era since the Lord had recently asked the Saints to sell or rent their farms and move to Ohio.

He placed his hope and trust in man and in the symbols of his religion, not in whom the symbols signified.  His questioning and arrogant spirit desired to confront Jacob, and the opportunity arrived.
