BOOK: Brother Joseph 1: Chapter Nineteen: The Dangerous Journey Home to Krtland
In a special ceremony held on Tuesday, August 2, 1831, the first log for the first house of the Saints in Kaw township was laid by twelve brethren. Joseph assisted in these ceremonies and the land of Zion was then dedicated by Sidney Rigdon, as the Lord had commanded.
