Do Not Fear

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
Isaiah 54:13-14, 17

"And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children. In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. . . . No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord."

QUOTE OF THE DAY
George Albert Smith

"If we have the confidence of our Heavenly Father, if we have His love, if we are worthy of His blessings, all the armies of the world cannot destroy us, cannot break down our faith, and cannot overcome the Church that is named for the Son of God" (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: George Albert Smith, p. 260).

Library: Times of Turmoil 1: Evading Babylon: Chapter 15

"The group moved down the wall and soon stood in front of a huge map of the United States that was covered by dozens of white and blue circular stickers. Each sticker had a number in the center. Elder Miller motioned toward the map."

1834 - The Prophet Joseph Smith and Parley P. Pratt arrived at the home of the Freeman Nickerson family in Perrysburg, New York, where in the evening they held a meeting concerning the Saints being driven from their homes in Missouri, "and opened to them the prophecies and revelations concerning the order of the gathering of Zion, and the means of her redemption; and I prophesied to them, and the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon me, and with all readiness the young and middle-aged volunteered for Zion" (History of the Church, 2:42).
