1993 - Elder M. Russell Ballard, a descendent of Hyrum Smith, presides at a Latter-day Saint Sacrament meeting held in the Kirtland Temple now owned by the Community of Christ (RLDS).  The meeting is believed to be the first Latter-day Saint service held in the temple in over 140 years.
