According to the well-regarded website FiveThirtyEight, Utah has two “election deniers” on the ballot this midterm. According to an article on the website, Reps. Chris Stewart and Burgess Owens “either clearly stated that the election was stolen from Trump or took legal action to overturn the results, such as voting not to certify election results or joining lawsuits that sought to overturn the election.”
Both representatives objected to the certification of Pennsylvania’s electoral college votes on Jan. 6, 2021, but Stewart takes issue with this characterization of him, saying that he voted against certifying Pennsylvania due to concerns of voting irregularities, but that he believes President Joe Biden is the lawfully elected president of the U.S.
