But many survivors and their attorneys oppose the current proposal.
#2 FDA: Transvaginal Mesh Not Worth the Risk in Treating Pelvic Organ ProlapseSilver Spring, MD The FDA reviewed Boston Scientific’s latest studies of the pros and cons of using transvaginal mesh to treat pelvic organ prolapse (POP) and doubled down on its earlier conclusion that the risks outweighed the benefits. In 2019, after a spate of surgical mesh lawsuits, the FDA ordered Boston Scientific to immediately pull its transvaginal mesh products off the market.
#3 SkyWest Flight Attendants File Rest and Meal Break California LawsuitSacramento, CA SkyWest flight attendants are proceeding with their meal and rest break proposed class action after a California judge rejected the airline’s argument that federal regulations governing the airline industry preempt their claims.
#4 Lisinopril Associated with Many Serious Side Effects, Including Angioedema and Liver DamageHouston, TXLisinopril, used to treat hypertension, congestive heart failure and heart attack, is associated with many side effects including liver damage. Beverly was diagnosed with angioedema (which can be life-threatening) as a direct result of Lisinopril, according to her hospital doctors.

Take Lisinopril, for instance. It is one of the most widely prescribed drugs in the US, and it also has the potential to harm a lot of people.
#6 USB Checking Accountholders to get their Day in CourtSan Diego, CA On August 10, the Southern District of California agreed to reconsider its own ruling in an overdraft fees lawsuit that forced the dispute into arbitration. On reconsideration, it reversed itself. This breathes new life into Reyna McGovern’s contention that U.S. Bank charged bank overdraft fees that were not permitted under the terms of the account agreement that she and many other customers signed. Now they get a chance to have their claims heard in court. The Order Granting the Motion for Reconsideration may have implications for other Californians who, perhaps unwittingly, signed arbitration agreements when they opened a checking account.

While Reglan (metoclopramide) has proven effective to lessen the symptoms of headaches, patients need to be aware of Reglan side effects—not the least of which is tardive dyskinesia.
#8 Boy Scouts Sexual Abuse AgreementIrving, TX A tentative agreement has been reached with the Boy Scouts of America and some 70,000 sexual abuse victims, but there is opposition to the $850 million settlement, including sponsoring churches and insurance companies.
#9 Former HP Employee’s Poaching Complaint Needs ProofSan Diego, CA Two Ninth Circuit judges have asked former Hewlett Packard employee Bryant Fonseca to show more evidence in his allegation that HP and 3D Systems Inc., had cut a “no-poach” deal that resulted in diminished wages. The judges questioned why this third amended complaint should be revived – plaintiff’s attorney answered that Fonseca’s California labor lawsuit identifies which executives were allegedly involved in the deal when it went into effect and the actions each company took to maintain the anti-competitive agreement.
