Los Angeles, CA Voting a settlement of almost $1.9 billion to compensate over 82,000 Boy Scouts of America sexual abuse victims has begun with a December 14, 2021 deadline to vote for the Plan. But many survivors and their attorneys oppose the current proposal.

#2  Lisinopril Associated with Many Serious Side Effects, Including Angioedema and Liver Damage
Houston, TXLisinopril, used to treat hypertension, congestive heart failure and heart attack, is associated with many side effects including liver damage. Beverly was diagnosed with angioedema (which can be life-threatening) as a direct result of Lisinopril, according to her hospital doctors.

#3  Kaiser Permanente settles two race discrimination class-action lawsuits totaling $18.9 million
San Francisco, CA After more than two years of negotiations, Kaiser Permanente has settled two class action lawsuits claiming that it discriminated against employees on the basis of race and in violation of the California Labor law.

#4  Maker Of “Neuro” Drinks Agrees To Pay $500,000 In Fines and Restitution
Neurobrands LLC, the Santa Monica-based maker of the “Neuro” line of drinks, has agreed to a permanent court injunction that requires it to change its marketing practices. The company will also pay $500,000 in penalties and restitution as part of a settlement with local prosecutors.

#5  Flowers Foods Leaves Bad Taste for Distributor Drivers
Santa Clara, CA A California federal judge ruled that Flowers Foods Inc. misclassified its distributor drivers as independent contractors and drivers can go ahead with overtime claims against the second-largest commercial bakery in the US (whose brands include Wonder Bread, Tastykake, Sunbeam, and Nature’s Own). It has a track record of misclassification lawsuits nationwide: in October 2021 the company agreed to pay $20 million to resolve nearly six years of Fair Labor Standards Act litigation involving more than 50 delivery drivers in Maine, and that’s not all. No wonder the cost of bread has gone up – it can’t put all the blame on the pandemic.

Las Vegas, NV Many prescription drugs are as common as aspirin; it's no wonder that many consumers don't read warning labels or consider that a medication could be associated with side effects. Take Lisinopril, for instance. It is one of the most widely prescribed drugs in the US, and it also has the potential to harm a lot of people.

Honolulu, HI Jasmine had a clean bill of health from her dentist, not even a cavity in 54 years. But last year she had a wisdom tooth removed and her oral surgeon said she is suffering from “dead jaw,” which is a bone disease. Her dentist said that Fosamax is to blame.
