The California labor complaint accuses Southwest Airlines of penalizing employees who took legally entitled leave, leading to denied disciplinary point reductions, and in some cases, wrongful terminations.

Garland v. Duane Morris alleges that the firm promoted women and people of color primarily to salaried partnerships rather than equity partnerships. There is a big difference.

Charlotte, NC - A former Wells Fargo Securities supervisor was awarded $22.1 million by a federal court jury in Charlotte in July. Christopher Billesdon’s disability and age discrimination lawsuit accused the San Francisco-based bank of violating the Americans with Disabilities Act and wrongful discharge under North Carolina state law. However, the bank asked the court in August to toss the jury’s decision.

Marshall determined that federal labor law doesn't preempt the claims, which involved hourly rate payments that didn't fall under collective bargaining agreements with the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA).
