San Frrancisco, CA DoorDash has been slammed with another California labor lawsuit filed by San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin, claiming the food delivery service has misclassified its workers as independent contractors rather than employees. “Dashers” are entitled to workers compensation and other benefits allowed full-time workers.

#3  Are Tutors Independent Contractors or Employees Under the California Labor Code?
San Francisco, CA: The education company General Assembly agreed to pay $1million to settle an overtime lawsuit brought by two former full-time tutors ( education instructors) who taught at the company’s San Francisco campus. This California labor law settlement may have implications for similar companies that hire independent contractors to work in the education “gig economy.”

#4  T-Mobile Retail Workers Reach Wage Deal under California Labor Law
Santa Clara, CA T-Mobile will pay $8 million to settle California labor law violations. The telecommunications company allegedly failed to pay minimum and overtime wages; and compensation for off-the-clock work, and didn’t provide workers proper meal and rest breaks.

#8  Victory for Women with Ovarian Cancer linked to Johnson & Johnson’s Talc in Missouri Court of Appeals
St. Louis, MO A panel of three judges with the Missouri Appeals Court has found Johnson & Johnson “Outrageous because of Evil Motive or Reckless Indifference” and upheld an award of over $2 billion in damages: $500 million in compensatory damages, plus another $1.62 billion in punitive damages. This group of 22 ovarian cancer victims-- all of whom developed ovarian cancer from J&J’s baby powder-- has now received the sixth largest award in U.S. legal history. 

#9  Botox: "I Thought I Was Going to Die"
Wellston, OH Like many patients, Rhonda D. says she was never told about the negatives of Botox, just the positives. However, she had a very bad reaction to Botox and still suffers from some of the side effects. Some patients who have experienced adverse reactions to Botox are considering a possible class action lawsuit against Allergan, the manufacturer, alleging they were not adequately warned about the risks.

#10  Lisinopril Associated with Many Serious Side Effects, Including Angioedema and Liver Damage
Houston, TXLisinopril, used to treat hypertension, congestive heart failure and heart attack, is associated with many side effects including liver damage. Beverly was diagnosed with angioedema (which can be life-threatening) as a direct result of Lisinopril, according to her hospital doctors.
