Impeachment

A top Pentagon official overseeing U.S. policy regarding Ukraine told House impeachment investigators last month that President Donald Trump directed the freezing of military aid to Ukraine over the summer [NBC News].

Two senior U.S. officials told House investigators that Ukranian leaders were aware nearly $400 million in congressionally approved security assistance had been frozen well before the information became public, which undercuts a key point of President Trump's defense that there was "no quid pro quo" over the aid [Washington Post].
