A Message From the Editor

Good Morning. U.S. President Donald Trump officially set an international trade war in motion over the weekend but last week China-founded AI company DeepSeek had already put Silicon Valley on edge, and today The Global Lawyer looks at how law firms are scrambling to deal with this AI race. Also, international law firms still have their sights set on Asia, with Morgan Lewis expanding in Tokyo and a trio from Sidley jumping to Broadfield, a law firm formed through a partnership between an arm of U.S. management consulting group Alvarez & Marsal and legacy UK 100 firm BDB Pitmans. We're also looking at Uber's failed attempt to have an IP lawsuit moved from the U.S. to Brazil.
