Apple today released the second beta of iOS 14.4 and iPadOS 14.4 to developers. The company had released the first beta of the OS in mid-December alongside the public release of iOS 14.3. 
Apple has been working on AirTags, its Tile-like tracking tags for a long time now. References to the trackers have leaked multiple times over the last year or so, with the first evidence of their existence emerging in iOS 13 itself. AirTags will integrate with Apple’s updated Find My app in iOS 14 and allow users to easily find items tagged to them. As it turns out, one can access this hidden ‘Items’ tab in iOS 14 right away. 
Apple’s major new announcement for today is a set of new projects as a part of its$100 million Racial Equity and Justice Initiative (REJI). With these new projects, the company hopes to “dismantle systemic barriers to opportunity and combat injustices faced by communities of color.” 
Apple held meetings with Canoo, a California-based EV startup, in the first half of 2020. The discussion between both companies ranged from Apple investing in the startup to acquiring it outright. The startup was founded in late 2017 by a small group of executives that were originally a part of Faraday Future, another startup that was making an EV.
