The Securities and Exchange Commission has filed a fraud lawsuit against Elon Musk, accusing the Tesla chairman and CEO of making "false and misleading" statements when he tweeted in August that he had secured funding to take the company private. A guilty verdict could keep Musk from serving as an officer or director of a public company.

About two-thirds of companies monitor employees' email activity, and less than half also keep track of internet activity, according to data from the Society for Human Resource Management and a survey from Simply Hired. The survey also found that employers do frequently consider an employee's email and online activity when doling out bonuses or promotions.
