Dallas Theological Seminary offers a 36 credit hour Master of Biblical and Theological Studies (MBTS) degree in a fully online format! This program is our most affordable and flexible degree, and it’s for ANYONE who wants to learn more about the Bible and theology!

One thing we have learned in the 95 years of teaching the Bible and theology to students at DTS is that many Christians hunger for Biblical knowledge and training, but often do not have the time or flexibility to attend seminary.

That is why we created an entry-level seminary degree designed to go deep in the Word of God, but not require as much time as our longer degrees. The 36 credit hour Master of Biblical and Theological Studies (MBTS) degree is the perfect degree for busy adults and working professionals because of the flexible options.

Many students can study online part-time and still complete the degree in two or three years. If you choose to study full-time online, you could complete the degree in under two years making this one of our fastest ways to earn a seminary degree that will equip you for whatever God might be calling you to do.

Not only is the degree fast and flexible, but it is also comprehensive and customizable. The MBTS gives you an overview of the entire Biblical story, introduces key theological concepts, and lets you choose from dozens of electives based on your interests and calling.

Students in the MBTS program can take 22 credit hours of Bible and Theology courses, as well as ministry-focused classes and electives. Students have 13 credit hours of electives they can use to customize the degree by picking from hundreds of courses!
