Hello, John!
Just as Saint Francis's love of the Incarnation makes him an "Advent saint," the story of Saint Clare shows us a connection to the Lenten season. After all, it was on Palm Sunday that Clare fled her family to follow the way of Saint Francis. Her preparation to enter religious life by cutting her hair and donning a peasant's robes feels very similar to the fasting and abstinence we practice during Lent.
This year, our annual booklet of daily Lenten reflections and meditations is based on the words and legacy of Saint Clare of Assisi. Each day's reading includes a quote, a reflection, and a brief prayer.
These pocket-sized booklets are sold in packs of 10 for you to share with your family, prayer circle, or other small group—and if you need gifts for a larger organization, such as a parish or religious institution, our progressive discounting structure means you save more with larger orders!
